Carrie Ann Courage, RMT
Carrie has enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a Registered Massage Therapist. She enjoys hands on body work and continues to see how Massage Therapy positively influences the lives of her clientele. Without a doubt, regular massage therapy treatments keep her clients healthier and with less pain and tension. She continues her education regularly and over the years has learned many types of massage therapy to help her clients. Hot Stone Massage, Thermal Palms, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Cupping and Lymphatic Drainage are just some of the courses taken that have expanded her techniques and knowledge. She specializes in Lymphatic Drainage Massage and has taken 3 courses for lymphatics: Manual Lymphatic Drainage Technique, Kinesio taping for lymphatics and Cupping for lymphatics. She is passionate about good health and living a good life, and believes everyone should be proactive in the maintenance of their own good health and prevention of illness.
Rachel Clarke-Smith, RMT/Reiki Master
An RMT since 2010, Rachel is committed to helping clients feel better. This healing journey began with Reiki in 1996, when as a new mother the gentle healing energy was always on hand and led her to become a Reiki Master in 2000. Now she's a seasoned therapist with many modalities incorporated into her treatments, including: myofascial release, acupressure, hot stone massage, trigger points and knowledge of body mechanics from years of dance training. Rachel crafts each treatment for the specific needs of the client. She also emphasizes client self- awareness and homecare to help the client achieve their goals towards optimal health and well-being.
Daisy "Dei" Paule, RMT
Dei offers many years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. Dei incorporates many different techniques into her treatment including cupping when indicated. As a people person with extensive knowledge and firm pressure in her treatments, Dei's schedule is filling up with regular clientele. Dei recently moved from the GTA and is enjoying what Niagara has to offer.
Rooted in a mindset of cultural diversity with a desire to learn about others, Dei is always eager to listen to other people's stories. Dei enjoys traveling, snowboarding and hiking.
Mykola Mulholland, RMT
Mykola is eager to help others through the many benefits of massage therapy, and strives to help each client meet their specific goals. He enjoys helping clients through rehabilitation after an injury, and uses different orthopedic assessments to determine the best treatment plan. He utilizes a combination of techniques and modalities such as: Swedish massage, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, hydrotherapy, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation, and deep tissue massage to achieve the best outcomes. Mykola is looking forward to helping you achieve your health care goals.
Namrta Rani, RMT
Namrta is a versatile RMT with several years of experience in both spa and clinical settings. She has a PSW background that started her career, as caring for people that need help is one of her biggest passions in life. After transitioning to Massage Therapy and seeing the remarkable way that body work can make a difference in the lives of the people she touched, she never looked back. Namrta has continued her education in Massage Therapy by taking courses in Aromatherapy, Cupping, Hot Stone Massage and Indian Head Massage. She enjoys utilizing these additional skills and modalities as much as possible to show each client how they can increase their therapeutic response to treatment and reach their goals faster.
Vanessa Moore, RMT
Vanessa is a Registered Massage Therapist dedicated to fostering holistic well-being through a blend of deep tissue techniques and a comprehensive healing approach. With a focus on addressing both physical tension and underlying imbalances, Vanessa helps clients achieve lasting relief and improved body function. While adept at targeting chronic pain and muscular restrictions, she approaches each treatment holistically, understanding that effective deep tissue work is most beneficial when integrated into a broader strategy for overall health and recovery. She works to not only alleviate immediate pain but also to uncover and address the root causes of discomfort, promoting sustainable healing.
Thuong Nguyen, RMT
Fluent in both English and Vietnamese, Thuong combines clinical expertise with a holistic perspective while employing various methods to assist clients in alleviating pain, decreasing stress, and enhancing mobility. She possesses specialized training in Hot Stone Massage, enabling profound relaxation and improved tissue release with the application of heated, smooth stones. She is proficient in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), a contemporary method that aids in breaking down scar tissue, enhancing circulation, and speeding up recovery from both chronic and acute issues. Certified in Oncology Massage and Rehabilitation, she provides gentle, safe, and supportive therapies customized to the needs of individuals undergoing or recovering from cancer therapies. This involves tackling fatigue, neuropathy, lymphedema, scar tissue, and mental health.
Aicha Kone, RMT
Fluent in both English and French, Aicha is a Registered Massage Therapist focused on delivering effective and personalized care. Well trained in therapeutic and rehabilitative massage, she helps clients alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve function. Aicha is committed to providing a results-oriented approach, utilizing techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, PNF stretching, myofascial release and fascial release to address specific concerns and support your journey to better health. Aicha enjoys cooking, a good HIT workout and binge watching horror movies.
Alexandra Funk, RMT
Alexandra is a compassionate Registered Massage Therapist who graduated from Niagara College’s Massage Therapy Program in 2023. Adept in relaxation massage, myofascial trigger point release, deep tissue massage, sports massage, local lymphatic drainage, friction massage, and prenatal massage, Alexandra delivers customized treatments to support pain relief, injury recovery, and overall wellness. With experience in spa, sport, and clinical settings, Alexandra offers a well-rounded, client-focused approach to care, promoting healing and well-being. In her free time, Alex enjoys snowboarding, trying new foods and restaurants, cooking and spending time with her 2 dogs.
Dr. Shaveen Jayalathge, DC
Dr. Shaveen is an evidence-based Chiropractor. His journey began at McMaster University where he graduated with Honors Bachelor of Science degree then he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic and Master of Science in Anatomy degrees from D'Youville College. He has since become certified in Active Release Technique (ART) and licensed to perform Acupuncture.
Dr. Shaveen is equipped with extensive clinical and hands-on patient experience having worked within medical centers and sports clinics. Additional services include: custom orthotics, athletics/rehab taping, electro-acupuncture, cold-laser therapy, ultrasound, interferential current (IFC), instrument assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM), joint mobilizations, and he is well-versed in developing treatment plans that maximize the therapeutic benefit delivered to patients. His clinical interests involve the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, carpal tunnel, facet syndrome, muscle spasms, neck and low back pain. Dr. Shaveen recognizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare and believes that most pathologies should be viewed through the lens of multiple disciplines in order to understand and treat a patient to the fullest degree.
Rafia Khalil, Manual Osteopath Practitioner
Rafia Khalil is a foreign trained Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience in physiotherapy. During this time she found a deep desire to help people suffering from chronic pain. Rafia fell in love with Osteopathy, and in 2019 she obtained her diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto and became a member of the Alliance Canadienne Medicine Alternative.
As a Manual Osteopath Practitioner, her expertise will help individuals suffering from TMJ/jaw dysfunction and pain, headaches and migraines, muscle and joint pain, acute and chronic trauma, arthritis, chronic pain and prenatal and postnatal conditions.
Rafia has experience with patients of all ages and stages of life from infants and children through to geriatric patients. With 3 children of her own, she understands the specific needs for treatment of youth and the changes women go through during and after pregnancy. This led her to further her education in Osteopathic treatment for the Obstetrical Patient Throughout All Stages of Pregnancy.
Head trauma is a condition we are seeing more of due to competitive sports and accidents of various kinds. Rafia has taken the time to expand her knowledge with a course in Concussion Management to help those suffering with head trauma.
Rafia is very passionate about her work and about helping people heal and recover to improve their quality of life. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you reach your goals.
