Carrie Ann Courage, RMT
Carrie has enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a Registered Massage Therapist. She enjoys hands on body work and continues to see how Massage Therapy positively influences the lives of her clientele. Without a doubt regular massage therapy treatments keeps her clients healthier and with less pain and stress. She continues her education regularly and over the years has learned many types of massage therapy to help her clients. Hot Stone Massage, Thermal Palms, Indian Head Massage, Aromatherapy, Lymphatic Drainage are just some of the courses taken that have expanded her techniques and knowledge. She is passionate about good health and living a good life, and believes everyone should be proactive in the maintenance of their own good health and prevention of illness.
Sonya Romanowski, DO.MP, RMT, R.Kin (Inactive)
Sonya is locally grown in Niagara Falls and has been involved in health care for several years, ranging from personal training and nutrition counseling to now focusing on osteopathic manual therapy and injury rehabilitation.
Sonya holds multiple degrees, diplomas, licenses, and certificates in various health fields which gives her a broad experience and understanding for treatment. She completed her Osteopathic Manual Practitioner's diploma with the Canadian College of Osteopathy (2020), a diploma in Manual Massage Therapy from the Ontario College of Health and Technology (2016) and undergraduate Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo (2014).
Sonya's treatment focus is to provide accessible, safe and effective holistic osteopathic manual therapy services to all residents of the Niagara Region. Her treatment style involves treating the body as a whole, to ensure the cause of the pain is identified and solved.
Treatment techniques used include: craniosacral and visceral manipulation, muscle energy techniques, fascial stretching, soft-tissue release, passive vertebral mobilizations, and balanced ligamentous and membrane tension techniques.
Cherie Krol, RMT
Cherie graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage Therapy School and Teaching Clinic in 1999, her passion and curiosity for healing has led her to take many other courses.Each new technique she learns changes her approach to assessment and treatment of dysfunction within the body. Some of these advanced techniques include Matrix Repatterning, Graston Technique,Acutonics, sport taping, nerve flossing and Trigenics.
Currently she also enjoys teaching and presenting seminars for some of the techniques she incorporates into her treatments.
Rachel Clarke-Smith, RMT/Reiki Master
An RMT since 2010, Rachel is committed to helping clients feel better. This healing journey began with Reiki in 1996, when as a new mother the gentle healing energy was always on hand and led her to become a Reiki Master in 2000. Now she's a seasoned therapist with many modalities incorporated into her treatments, including: myofascial release, acupressure, hot stone massage, trigger points and knowledge of body mechanics from years of dance training. Rachel crafts each treatment for the specific needs of the client. She also emphasizes client self- awareness and homecare to help the client achieve their goals towards optimal health and well-being.
Hilarie Anello, RMT, BKin Hons.
Hilarie graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Kinesiology with honours in 2015. She then attended Sutherland-Chan for her massage therapy education, graduating in August 2017. Since then she has been working in the field honing her skills and furthering her skill set with cupping and various other modalities.
Hilarie prefers a moderate treatment approach with a relaxing touch. She enjoys working with clients to further their well being and accomplish their treatment goals.
Daisy "Dei" Paule, RMT
Dei offers many years of experience as a Registered Massage Therapist. Dei incorporates many different techniques into her treatment including cupping when indicated. As a people person with extensive knowledge and firm pressure in her treatments, Dei's schedule is filling up with regular clientele. Dei recently moved from the GTA and is enjoying what Niagara has to offer.
Rooted in a mindset of cultural diversity with a desire to learn about others, Dei is always eager to listen to other people's stories. Dei enjoys traveling, snowboarding and hiking.
Juliet Orbillo-Almario, RMT
Juliet graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Medix College, Toronto in 2012. A member of College of Massage Therapist of Ontario and Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario. Juliet has a strong knowledge of the healing benefits of massage therapy and bodywork, rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries and remedial exercises. She specializes in a number of fields such as Swedish and Non-Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Myofascial & Trigger Point Release, Stress Relief Techniques and Pregnancy Massages. She enjoys working with all ages including children.
William (Billy) Saxton, RMT
Billy is a graduate of the Ontario College of Health and Technology. Billy became interested in Massage Therapy through his passion for health and fitness, something that was sparked by his love of sports from an early age. He brings comprehensive knowledge in anatomy and muscle recovery and although he has a diverse skill set, he prefers deep-tissue techniques for various musculoskeletal injuries and imbalances. Billy is thrilled to be working with members of his community to assist them in their journey to achieving a more functional and pain-free life.
Renee Rochford, RMT
Renee graduated from Sir Sandford Flemming College in 2009 and registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario that same year. Her interest in holistic medicine led her to study Massage Therapy and how it can help people live their best life. During her years of practice she has developed her skill set and enjoyed many different clinical experiences that have made her more knowledgeable and versitile. She enjoys helping people reach their goals by improving their overall health and well being.
Dr. Shaveen Jayalathge, DC
Dr. Shaveen is an evidence-based Chiropractor. He graduated from D’Youville College receiving his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and obtained his Honors Bachelors of Science from McMaster University in Life Sciences. He is currently completing his thesis to obtain his Master of Science in Anatomy.
Dr. Shaveen is equipped with extensive clinical and hands-on patient experience having worked within medical centers and sports clinics. He aims to make Chiropractic treatment accessible to a range of patients, from those experiencing everyday aches and pains to more extreme cases dealing with comorbidities and psycho-social barriers to improvement. He is well-versed in developing treatment plans that maximize the therapeutic benefit delivered to patients, offering services including joint manipulation/mobilization, Muscle Release Therapy, rehab exercises, athletic taping, and orthotics.
His clinical interests involve the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal conditions such as headaches, thoracic outlet syndrome, sciatica, carpal tunnel, facet syndrome, muscle spasms, neck and low back pain. Dr. Shaveen recognizes the importance of interprofessional collaboration in healthcare and believes that most pathologies should be viewed through the lens of multiple disciplines in order to understand and treat a patient to the fullest degree.
